The Guardians of Berk
Chapter 3


I did not know what had happened to me. Was I dead? There is no way I could be dead. All I could remeber, was a fire ball that was hurling right toward me. I must have gotten hit by it when I had opened the door. Where was my brother, Nightclaw? Where was Hiccup and Toothless? Are they still with me? I just had to know what had happened to me.

All I could hear was a voice, trying to talk to me. Who was it? Could it be Nightclaw? My hearing was so bad now. I was not sure if it was really him trying to wake me up from the fire ball that hit me will hard.

"Brother! Silverwing! Can you hear me!" He said to me. I tried to open my eyes to see him. It was so blurry to see him trying to wake me up. I could see Hiccup and Toothless right next to him. They too, were trying to see if I was ok.

"Let me see if he is badly injured, Nightclaw. Maybe, I can help him get back to full health again." Said Hiccup. Nightclaw, carefully layed me down on the ground. I could see him crying, when I was hurt very badly. Hiccup, carefully tried to see how bad I was hit from the fire ball.

"It seems he just got all bruced up. It does not look like he got beat up too badly. I might beable to get something to heal him from his bruces." Hiccup said to Nightclaw. "He will be ok, Nightclaw. I promise. He will not die at any means."

Hiccup could see his house on fire. Many other houses were either burned to the ground, or they were still standing, with bad burn marks on them. There were vikings all over the place, trying to see what was going on. Toothless, was trying to see if Nightclaw, was doing ok. He was trying to calm my brother down. My brother does not want me to get hurt, or worse, get killed.

"Everything will be ok, Silverwing. I'll take care of you." Hiccup had gotten a few herbs from  his fur coat. He carefully, putted one of the herbs in my mouth. I was slowly eating it. It tasted will good. In a few minutes, I was starting to get most of my strength back in me.

I could hear more clearly now. I tried to see if I could get back on all four legs. I managed to get back on my feet. I still felt kind of weak, but not like I used to be. I must not let anything else happen to me. Hiccup was looking at me, he smiled at me, seeing that I was getting back most of my strength, from the herb he gave me.

I was about to walk right toward Nightclaw, but I felt like something was about to happen again. I heard a sound comming from the forest, that was right in front of us. It did not sound like a dragon or a human. I looked up in the sky, and I could see a fire ball, heading right toward us.

I was frozen in fear, I could not even move from where I was. Nightclaw,went right in front of me, and used his wings as a shield to cover me from the blast. BOOM!!! I could not see anything just for a few minutes. It got so black, with ash that came from the fire ball. I saw my brother, he was not hurt at all. His markings on him were glowing just for a short time.

"Brother! Are you ok!" I said to him. He had a few bruce spots on him, when he shielded me from the fire ball. He looked at me, he was just smiling very softly at me.

"I....am ok brother. I'm just glad you did not get hit again by it." He said to me. Hiccup was shoked to see my brother protect me when the fire ball hit him. So did Toothless. He too, could not believe my brother had protected me from the fire ball.

"It seems the fire balls are comming from the forest!" Said Nightclaw. "Toothless, me and you should try to find out what is causing these fire balls from hurling towards this location." He said to Toothless.

"Got it. We will see who it might be throwing these fire falls at us and to the village." He said. "Silverwing, please stay here with Hiccup. You are to weak to fight right now. Me and your brother, will see who it is launching those fire balls all over the village." He said to me.

Both of them went into the forest, and were trying to find who it might be throwing those fire balls at the village. Hiccup and I, were trying to see if there was anybody hurt from any of the fire balls.
